The Surgeon
Dr. Shahram Rezaiamiri,
MD, FACS
Dr. Shahram Rezaiamiri and his family moved to Southern California in 1979, where he attended and graduated from high school. In 1988, he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Washington (UW) in Seattle. Before returning to UW for medical school, he worked for GTE Research Labs in Boston and spent a year in Texas in GTE’s telecommunications division.
Dr. Rezaiamiri completed medical school in 1994 and then attended the University of Rochester, where he completed his residency in Neurosurgery at Strong Memorial Hospital. In 1998, he spent a year in Virginia completing a fellowship in Complex Spinal Surgery. He has been practicing in Atlanta since 2001 and has extensive experience in treating complex spinal disorders. He was the first in the south Atlanta area to perform minimally invasive spinal discectomy and fusion and to introduce Computer-Based Stereotactic Image Guided Surgery for the treatment of brain tumors.
Dr. Rezaiamiri is a Fellow Member of the American Board of Neurosurgery. Recently, he expanded his practice to the Los Angeles metro area. In his free time, he enjoys playing poker, spending time with his family, and is a licensed pilot.
